TL-Series Servo Motors
Compact, low inertia motors with high
resolution and absolute feedback capability
The
Allen-Bradley TL-Series Motors represent a significant new solution for
designers needing a low inertia, high performance servo motor. TL-Series Motors
combine a compact size with a high torque density afforded by their superior
stator design. The result is a package that provides substantial power in a
small footprint. These 230 volt motors are intended to be used with the
Allen-Bradley Ultra1500 drive for a truly compact, easy-to-use drive/motor
combination. Available in four frame sizes, the TL-Series Motors provide
continuous stall torque from 0.096 to 5.42 Nm (0.85 – 48 lb-in) and peak torque
from 0.22 to 13 Nm (1.94 – 115 lb-in).
Features
TL-Series servo motor features include:
- High Resolution Feedback
- Tighter position control with 17-bit
resolution
- Higher inertia mismatch capabilities
- Ability to control higher load-to-motor
rotor inertia ratios while maintaining a stable system.
- Absolute Encoder Capability
- Eliminates the need for a homing routine,
making startup faster and easier
- Single-turn high resolution feedback is
standard. Multi-turn (+/- 32768 revolutions) high resolution feedback with
battery backup is available
- Smart Motor Technology
- On-board memory retains motor identity
- Serial communication automatically reports
identity to the drive for reduced commissioning time
- Superior Torque to Size Ratio
- More power in a smaller package
- 46, 70, 90 and 115 mm frame sizes
- Integral 24 volt brake option
- IP43 seal standard. Shaft seal kits
available to provide motor surface-only IP65 rating .
